Chocolate Pretzels

Pertama lihat resep ini, kok kayaknya gampang ya. Coba bikin deh, tapi ternyata waktu bikin “loop” nya itu susah :D. Rasanya sih coklat banget. Biar ngga kayak Monde, gula pasir untuk taburannya aku ganti dengan permen kecil2 warna warni. 

150 gr plain (all purpose) flour
a pinch of salt
25 gr cocoa powder
115 gr cup butter,softened
115 gr caster sugar
1 egg beaten
1 egg white and sugar crystals for sprinkling

1. Sift together the flour, salt and cocoa. Set aside. Grease 2 baking sheets.
2. Cream the butter. Add the caster sugar and beat until fluffy. Beat in the egg. Stir in the dry ingredients. Gather the dough into a ball and chill for 1 hour.
3. Roll the dough into 28 small balls. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F/Gas 5. Roll each ball into a rope about 25 cm/10 in long. With each rope,form a loop with the two ends facing you. Twist the ends and fold back on the circle,pressing in to make a pretzel shape. Place on the greased baking sheet.
4. Brush the pretzels with egg white. Sprinkle sugar crystals over the top and bake for 10 –12 minutes until firm. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

Makes : 28 – 36 .
